these days with things like msn and myspace, language is changing. lol now means ‘laugh out loud’ atm no longer means the hole in the wall where you get money..its now ‘at the moment’ and brb means ‘be right back’.
words are shortened, words are left out, numbers are used to replace letters (m8, l8r etc). More and more people are writing in txt form and proper english is slowly going away from the younger generations. there are completely
older generations find it hard to undersatnd it and the way its used but its so common amongst teenagers and young adults thats they find it easy to understand.

these are used in so many messages, e-mails and comments left of myspace by younger people
as we are using it now, it will only continue and become more popular and last into older generations
blogs vs myspace
i dont really find blogging very helpful in english. i dont really like to write my feelings all over blogs or anything like that. I do on myspace but only because it is more of a personal and fun site where you can look at pictures and have music as well as a little bit about you and your interests. Its more fun and interesting and you can show your personality more.
In english i think that its not that helpful only because it quite boring to only read about people. I like visual images of who we are looking at, but i suppose if your only looking at writing you can’t judge them by what they look like and who they know.

This year
Only one more term left of year 11…then its year 12!
im enjoying most of my subjects…but will be happy when my year 12 exam is all over. i need to improve a bit in maths and chem but apart from taht its all going well.
i want to become a nutritionist/dietician someday and need 94.5 to get into Monash uni so im going to have to study hard!
cant wait for all the 18ths next year but who thought onf putting year 12 in the busiest year ever! then get my license and then its schoolies!

Monday 27th August
We have been reading the girl with a pearl earring in class.
It’s pretty good and is about a girl named Griet. Shes been sent to a wealth painting family to be a sevant. Shes 16 so pretty much our age and though we all say we don’t like school and don’t want to go, Id hate to do the work she has to do. Working all day and she gets paid a few coins at the end of the week!
A lot of it so far has been introducing people, so hopefully it’ll get a bit better and a bit more interesting. I want to known if the girl in the picture turns out to be Griet. I want a pair of really peral earrings.
So anyway as we get further into the book, Im sure we’ll have to write more about this book so u’ll find out then!

first day back at school for the week
pretty good w/e bit of work and my cousins 21st which was good..this week i dont have much to look forward to but im seeing laura for a good chat!

blogging is a bit overrated its not that fun…reading in the library sure beats this!
i love doing fun things like the usual….
I love going to the beach, going out, girl nights, photos, summer nights, loved doing the deb, friends, music, good food, shoping/clothes, perfume etc
and theres not much i dont like
when i grow up i want to be successful, rich, famous…i want to be happy and live near the beach in a big mansion with a gorgoeus husband and children.
